Maharani Season 4 kicks off in 2012, with PM Sudhakar Joshi's coalition on the brink of collapse after losing the support of the West Bengal Chief Minister. In a bid to salvage his position, Joshi's aide approaches Bihar Chief Minister Rani Bharti for her support, but she declines. As Rani firmly establishes her authority in Bihar, Joshi forms an alliance with her imprisoned rival, Naveen Kumar, aiming to weaken her influence. Soon after, a commission report links Rani to an old murder case, leading to a CBI investigation.
