Mary has managed to arrange accommodations for all the competitors in the choir sing-off, except for one—due to his abrasive, demanding, and impatient nature. He ends up lodging with the Jenkins family. Determined to secure victory for his choir, he resorts to various tactics, including treating the judges to dinner and hiring a professional gospel singer. Meanwhile, the D.C. choir enlists Brenda, Tiffany, and their friends to enhance their performance, resulting in a fresh and youthful vibe. The competition concludes in a tie, with both choirs earning the chance to represent the East Coast in the California semi-finals.
