In "God Child," young Laurie Shannon, mourning the tragic loss of her parents in an accident, yearns to confront God and understand why they were taken from her. Meanwhile, in "Curtain Call," a former beloved comedian, whose television show has been abruptly canceled, aspires to stage a final performance, hoping to recapture the magic of his past success one last time.
