Title: Assignment I: Escape through a Crack in Time (1) Plot: As the sun sets, a mother and father lull their daughter Helen to sleep with soothing nursery songs. Meanwhile, their teenage son Robert grows increasingly worried when he notices that every clock in the house has suddenly stopped. Rushing upstairs, he discovers that his parents have mysteriously disappeared. Isolated with only Helen for company and no neighbors around, Rob contacts the police. However, he is met by two unusual agents, Sapphire and Steel, who reveal that they are his sole allies in the quest to rescue his missing parents.
