During Katrina's birthday celebration, chaos erupts when a brutal assault leaves two men dead and results in the theft of a strange black suitcase belonging to her boyfriend, Sergei. Detectives Ellison and Sandburg struggle to gather information from the reluctant witnesses at the scene. However, Ellison's heightened senses guide him to a shocking revelation: the gold necklace around Sergei's neck is actually radioactive.
