Chris cautions that his company will have to terminate its agreement with Jane's firm unless Michael gives his approval. Meanwhile, Sydney, calling from the mental hospital, begs Matt to look into Kimberly. Jane and Matt head to the beach house, where Jane connects with Michael while Matt investigates. He finds out that Kimberly has numerous wigs and, during a tense encounter at the hospital, he yanks one off her head. After a sleazy staff member makes a pass at her, Sydney agrees to a plea deal and is released into Jane's care. Kimberly swears vengeance on Matt. Palmer and Brittany continue their scheme against Jake, and Palmer shows up at Amanda's place. After learning Billy accepted a job at D&D without discussing it with her, Alison breaks up with him. Jo is caught off guard by a visit from Reed's parents and, when she reveals that Reed is her child's father, she's blindsided by their custody lawsuit.
