Alison visits the Century Awards office to submit Amanda's entry, but an employee named Brooke Armstrong persuades her to enter her own campaign as well. Meanwhile, Alison and Billy find themselves getting caught up in their work late into the night at his apartment. During a weekend getaway in Santa Barbara, Kimberly discovers Amanda and Michael enjoying a hot tub together. Michael insists he's going to overlook Amanda's "obsession," yet he later takes her to the awards dinner. Alison's victory for best print ad infuriates Amanda, while Michael declares his love for her. Sydney's disruptive behavior interrupts a romantic dinner for Jake and Jane, leading Jake to break things off after Jane gives him an ultimatum regarding Sydney.
