S1E1 You've Got to Dream

After graduating from veterinary school in 1937, James Herriot faces challenges in securing a job in his economically depressed hometown of Glasgow. Eager for a fresh start, he sets his sights on a position in the secluded village of Darrowby, where he will work alongside the quirky local veterinarian, Siegfried Farnon, who is initially critical of his skills. Nevertheless, when a complicated calving situation arises, James seizes the opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities and earn Siegfried's respect.
