While attending an accordion lesson, Wesley's instructor, Mr. Zabriskie, unexpectedly collapses and dies just moments after Wesley, feeling frustrated, silently wished for his demise. This shocking event makes Wesley think he somehow caused his teacher’s death, leading him to believe he possesses some sort of unique ability.
