Cale, a headstrong young wanderer, stumbles upon a barn and decides to catch some sleep. However, he is abruptly awakened by a violent confrontation between the barn's owner and a horse thief. In the chaos, Cale gets hit and ends up injured, leading to his wrongful assumption as an accomplice in the crime.
