Just before the amendment to the CAFE standards gets voted down, Josh can't resist the temptation to test drive a colossal SUV while he's supposed to be looking for a Prius. His mishap leads to a fender-bender that embarrasses the administration, resulting in him being tasked with leading a new initiative on alternative energy. Meanwhile, Zoey throws a surprise graduation celebration for Charlie, who later takes her out for a thank-you dinner. Annabeth teaches Toby how to effectively navigate press relations, while Charlie finds an appealing solution to his job troubles. Kate offers her support to Donna, and C.J. gains valuable advice from Leo on maintaining Jed's health. Lastly, Margaret faces opposition from her new boss regarding her plans to redecorate Leo’s old office.
