The herds have finally shown up, and for every fisherman in the OBX, chaos is on the horizon. With a surge in fish numbers, the demand for bluefin drops, leading to a frantic scramble to catch fish before prices fall. However, there’s a silver lining for the fleet: a quota extension has been announced. This means that, despite the larger fish being caught earlier this season, the fishermen will now have extra time to earn their paychecks before the season wraps up.
