Struggling to choose a nominee for the Supreme Court, President Dale Gilchrist opts for a family retreat at their ranch to gain some clarity. While there, Skip sulks over his broken relationship, and Becca reflects on significant issues in her own romance. At the same time, Emily tries to bond with Marigold and Xander, who are both grappling with the absence of their beloved technology during their time at the ranch.
