An EMT first responder balances the happiness of family life with the demands of working the night shift. Throughout the night, he encounters a range of emergencies, including a gunshot victim, a motorcyclist struck by a car, a man in police custody, and a Vietnam veteran suffering from a severe finger injury. Each call tests his skills and resolve, as he navigates the challenges of his profession while holding onto the joys of home.
