Cissy reconnects with her longtime friend, Russ Brooks, who is preparing to head to Chile with the Peace Corps. Eager to join him, she faces opposition from Bill, who tries to talk her out of it. Ultimately, Russ and Cissy contemplate eloping in Chile, but Cissy hesitates when she learns about the potential dangers that await them there.
