Jack and Finch stumble upon a hidden message system within the wall. Simultaneously, Elliott invites Maya over to celebrate his brother's birthday, whom he describes as "slow." During the festivities, Donnie confides in Maya that he’s not actually slow-witted. When Maya attempts to explain this to Elliott, she ends up making a fool of herself. Jack's antics lead to Donnie's secret being exposed. Meanwhile, a seemingly innocent gift of a parakeet turns into a chaotic disaster for Nina.
