Mills faces backlash from some coworkers after Severide backs his ambition to join Squad. Meanwhile, Tara, a candidate for paramedic, works alongside Dawson and Shay for a few shifts. Shay steps in to help Cindy Herrmann, who is experiencing complications with her pregnancy while her husband Christopher is away. At the same time, Dawson and Casey grow closer as the grand opening of Molly’s approaches, leading to an unexpected visit for Casey.
