Doc and Carlos find themselves in a precarious situation on the eighteenth floor of an apartment building, trapped with a patient who is unable to walk, until firefighters come to their aid. Meanwhile, Ty reaches the conclusion of his probationary period. In a surprising turn, Faith learns that she is expecting again. The firefighters face a dangerous encounter when a deranged individual opens fire as they respond to a car fire.
