Ed finds himself waking up in unfamiliar locations, completely puzzled about how he ended up there. Meanwhile, Joel suffers from "glacier dropsy," experiencing odd sensations like pinpricks on his nose, an aversion to shrimp, and discomfort in his groin, among other bizarre symptoms. Just when she needs it most, Shelly suddenly loses her singing voice. Leonard steps in to care for both Joel's patients and Ed's unusual "sleep flying," which could hint at a deeper significance.
