The United States delivers Evangelion Unit-03, but the activation test reveals a horrifying truth: it has been contaminated by the Thirteenth Angel. As the situation escalates, NERV must send the remaining EVAs into combat against this Angel-corrupted monstrosity, all while grappling with the dangerous possibility of harming its vulnerable pilot in the process.
