S1E1 The More Things Change

Bird welcomes a baby boy into the world, but the atmosphere between Teri and her ex-husband, Miles, remains tense. Damon Carter, the deliveryman for Teri's office, boldly expresses his feelings for her, only to be met with indifference. Due to severe water damage, Bird, the baby, and Uncle Pete must move in with Teri. Meanwhile, Ahmad faces challenges at his new school. The baby falls ill and is admitted to the hospital. Eventually, Teri decides to lower her defenses and accepts a date with Damon. Additionally, Lem's cousin Franco, freshly released from jail, lends him money and tries to persuade him to return to a life of hustling.
