Max Malini reunites with his old friend Gregor Molotov, but the meeting isn't a warm one. Gregor is on a mission to find the elusive cape, putting The Cape/Vince in a position to safeguard the carnies who welcomed him. Meanwhile, Dana, Vince's wife, returns to her job after mourning his disappearance and uncovers the deep-rooted corruption within Palm City's public defender's office. As she navigates her grief, she stumbles upon evidence that there were witnesses present at the time of Vince's vanishing, raising more questions about his fate.
