Katie and Eric start using herbal stimulants to manage their demanding work hours, but their plans take a turn when they give the herbs to a customer who collapses from exhaustion, revealing unexpected side effects of the supplements. At the same time, Maria's jealousy flares up when her ex, Nicky, begins seeing Courtney. In a misguided attempt to sabotage their relationship, she persuades mall security guard Screech that Courtney is the thief he’s been hunting for, leading to escalating tensions.
