April urgently reaches out to Paul, requesting to meet him at his office without delay. She was heading to school to submit her project—the architectural model for a World Trade Center memorial—but she hasn't been able to rest. "With my anxiety and lymphoma," she explains, "there's never a moment of peace." She likens her overwhelming fatigue to a toxic substance coursing through her veins, expressing a desperate desire to escape the pain.
