Gallagher is shot down while piloting a Mustang during a covert operation. Colonel Gibbons steps in to lead the 918th squadron. Meanwhile, a conspiracy orchestrated by Admiral von Kreuter, along with Berthold, Shullendorf, and Straser, is underway to assassinate Hitler and secure a separate peace agreement.
