S1E1 Assassins

The real tale of the Assassins begins with a marginalized group of Ismailis, a sect of Shi’ite Muslims, who were heavily outmatched by the Sunni forces in medieval Persia. In response, they crafted a unique strategy for retaliation: eliminating enemy leaders through stealthy operations and their dagger expertise. An image depicts an assassin being entrusted with a dagger for his inaugural mission in Persia. Their efforts culminated in the assassination of the Crusader King just before his coronation.
