Kunti, feeling despondent, cares for the wounded Karna, leaving Arjun taken aback. As she attempts to reveal his true identity to the Pandavas, Karna intervenes to prevent her. Eventually, Arjun discovers the truth and is filled with remorse for having harmed Karna.
