Wildest Islands (2012)
S2E4 Philipines: Islands of Mystery
The Philippine archipelago comprises over 7,000 tropical islands, rich in unique wildlife. On the breathtaking island of Palawan, jagged limestone cliffs rise from lush jungles, providing a habitat for enormous insects. Predators lurk at the forest's edge, while meandering rivers have shaped one of the planet's largest cave systems, a hidden world teeming with bats, whip scorpions, tarantulas, and various other creatures. Among these inhabitants is the enigmatic bearcat, an animal that resembles a blend of a bear and a cat, though it is not closely related to either, and displays remarkable agility in the treetops, similar to a monkey.
