As Echo's former lovers turn up dead, the Dollhouse is thrown into turmoil, fearing the vengeful return of Alpha. Adelle begins to question Ballard’s intentions, while he seeks support from Boyd and Topher to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, tensions escalate as the Actives revolt against their handlers, resulting in one member of the Dollhouse facing a permanent mind-wipe.
