Lynn's life takes an unexpected turn when her birth mother, Sandy, shows up at Joan's place. At first, the two bond and develop a friendship, but Lynn quickly finds herself feeling embarrassed by Sandy's antics. Curiosity piques when Lynn discovers a documentary on sexuality that sparks her interest, leading her to leave her job to assist Sandy with the project.
