Mike Noonan, a struggling novelist, grapples with writer's block following the tragic loss of his wife, Jo. A vivid dream compels him to revisit their lakeside getaway in search of closure regarding her untimely passing. However, he finds himself tormented by increasingly intense nightmares and spectral encounters with Sara Tidwell, a blues singer whose ghostly presence haunts the home. As the secrets of Dark Score Lake unravel around him, Mike begins to understand that his deceased wife has unfinished business and crucial messages to convey.
