Malloy can't help but notice a captivating woman he's spotted throughout the town with her scotty dog, but this fascination leads to trouble for her. At the same time, he and Reed are involved in tracking down a young man illegally riding his dirt bike in the hills during fire season. They also pursue an armed suspect who robbed a movie theater and fled on a motorcycle. Additionally, they work with the police helicopter in a desperate attempt to locate two robbery suspects responsible for fatally shooting a night watchman in a department store.
