Malloy learns that his star player on the recreational league basketball team has fallen back into drug use, a claim the player vehemently denies, despite the proof available. Meanwhile, he and Reed investigate a hit-and-run incident involving a child and stop a vehicle that has a seemingly rude passenger who is also wanted by the authorities.
