Officers Malloy and Reed come to the aid of a young mother whose baby is in danger from a disturbed man, and they also intervene when a woman faces harassment from a vindictive neighbor. Throughout the night, Reed is anxious about the minor dent he put in the car's fender while refueling, fearing it could cost him his job since he’s still under probation.
