Chris becomes envious upon learning from John that he is in a relationship with an editor from a prominent magazine and plans to celebrate Christmas with her in Vermont. Meanwhile, Bob is convinced that a Santa Claus on the street corner is targeting him, causing him distress. In a bid to lift Linda's spirits, Margaret encourages her to join a church group for a festive caroling outing.
