Kate tends to her ailing father and receives valuable advice from Tommy during a visit with Sara. Meanwhile, Philip enlists Dr. Jack McNeil to lead the orthopedics department. Diane comes back, only to discover that Billy is still in Africa and her lab has been converted into a storage space. Keith puts himself at risk legally by aiding an injured drug courier in evading capture. Aaron convinces Tommy to allow the hospital six months to improve under Philip's leadership.
