While the police remain oblivious, Angèle shoves Lily off the bridge, creating the illusion of a suicide. The news devastates Laurence and Nathan. Laurence realizes that Nathan has been dishonest with her; he too is aware of the unseen individuals. This revelation leads to the end of their relationship.
