In the heart of winter, Metropolis suffers from an unprecedented heat wave, leading many to suspect Superman is responsible. Unbeknownst to them, Lex Luthor orchestrates this phenomenon to eliminate Superman once and for all. Faced with mounting pressure, Clark considers abandoning Metropolis. However, Lois discovers that the source of the heat is actually the Luthor nuclear plant, revealing Luthor's true intentions.
