On his first day of college, Bailey meets a guy who persuades him to choose easier classes for better grades and more leisure time. However, Bailey soon struggles with a challenging computer exam and considers cheating as his only option. Meanwhile, seniors Sarah, Julia, and Justin are vying for a coveted writing competition that offers a college scholarship. Sarah and Julia focus on their family issues, while Justin opts to write about Julia’s pregnancy, igniting her anger. Unfazed, Justin sticks with his topic. Additionally, when Kristen's boss catches her plagiarizing an essay, Charlie steps in to assist her and inadvertently discovers her anti-depressant prescription, which she started taking after her wedding. This incident leads to her losing both her PhD and her job.
