At 28, Ally McBeal, a fresh Harvard Law School graduate, faces harassment from a senior associate at her new job. When she tries to report the issue to the partners, things take a turn for the worse, resulting in her dismissal. While walking down the street, she unexpectedly encounters Richard Fish, a former classmate, who offers her a job at his newly established firm. Although she has reservations about his ethics, she decides to take the opportunity. As she meets her new colleagues, she is taken aback by a surprising revelation.
