However, The Big Three automakers have dedicated the war years to producing military vehicles and armaments, leaving them without new models for quite some time. As they scramble to meet the desires of a new generation, the era of the American muscle car is born, catering to the youthful craving for speed and excitement. Yet, as competition heats up among the manufacturers, looming external pressures threaten to destabilize the burgeoning automotive industry.
