A sudden mini-heatwave leads to a surge of patients at Barnsley Hospital. Mark, a 50-year-old man, is quickly admitted to the emergency department following an accident with a garden shredder. Meanwhile, three-year-old Ophelia arrives with her father after an incident involving a bottle of sun cream. In another part of the hospital, the medical team attends to 64-year-old Melvin, who is battling the irreversible lung disease COPD, while 27-year-old Jack undergoes evaluation after fainting at his job.
