When Maddie Hayes, a former model, finds herself broke due to an accountant's embezzlement, she decides to sell off her struggling businesses, including a detective agency. However, private investigator David Addison is determined to keep his position and convinces a hesitant Maddie to join forces. Their initial case presents a challenge; Maddie receives a damaged watch from a man on his deathbed, leaving them with scant clues to pursue.
