As Smiley delves deeper into Vladimir's murder, he finds himself confronting his latest suspect. During this pursuit, a man on a motorcycle warns him to abandon the investigation, but Smiley dismisses the threat. His journey then takes him to Oxfordshire, where he interviews a mother and her daughter regarding the unfolding case.
