A man with a felony conviction asserts that NCIS set him up for murder ten years prior, prompting Gibbs to look into the matter. He enlists Ducky to perform a fresh autopsy to uncover the truth. Senior FBI agent Fornell steps in to assist with the investigation, as he was in charge of the original case that involved both the FBI and NCIS.
