Jill feels ill after learning the results of her pregnancy test. In another part of the hospital, a baby is reported missing, leading to suspicions directed at the parents of a girl who was brought in with a fractured ankle. At the same time, Gordon uncovers an important detail about a diabetic patient that sheds light on his erratic behavior. As the episode reaches a gripping climax, a sense of impending tragedy hangs over the hospital.
