Dawson's life takes a dark turn as he uncovers the painful reality of his parents' relationship. At the Homecoming dance, he sees a tense exchange between Joey and Jack, igniting a series of events that jeopardize both their friendship and a budding romance. Meanwhile, Jen seizes the opportunity to exploit Joey’s missteps in her pursuit of Dawson. Pacey, attempting to connect with Andie, inadvertently ends up hurting her instead.
