The discovery of mummified bodies hidden within the walls of an elderly couple's secluded home in South Carolina leads Rossi, JJ, and Simmons on a quest to unravel clues that stretch back more than two decades. The urgency heightens as the BAU realizes the killer follows a precise ritual for their attacks, and just as they suspected, another victim disappears. Meanwhile, Rossi finds himself reuniting with his ex-wife during the investigation.
