Louis leaves Prior alone in the hospital, unable to cope with the situation. Meanwhile, Joe and Roy share their thoughts and feelings over drinks. As Prior lies in his bed, he starts hearing unsettling voices, while Louis seeks out casual encounters with strangers. Later, in a drunken state, Joe opens up to his mother, revealing his inner turmoil.
