S1E11 Becoming a Nation

The news of America’s triumph at Yorktown travels swiftly worldwide. In response, Parliament compels the King to concede to American Independence. Meanwhile, John Adams teams up with Benjamin Franklin in France to hammer out the Treaty of Paris in 1783. The thirteen newly independent states establish a new government structure and encourage Washington to assume the presidency.
